Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate
Rojac Urethane Limited
have recently been awarded the
production seat moulding business for the new Range Rover Autobiography.

The Ultimate will be limited
to just 500 vehicles worldwide, and will be produced to individual
order only.

Range Rover designers have
completely revamped the rear cabin, fitting individual back seats,
along with changes to the font seat designs.

New hardness test facility
Due to be installed early
June 2011, Rojac's new foam hardness test machine gives the
ability to accurately measure the
hardness of PU foam mouldings and provide detailed reports and
graphical analysis of this data. The machine has the ability
to measure both Force and Extension and will be installed in our new
temperature controlled inspection area.

The new
hardness test machine is designed to test both rigid and flexible foam
materials. It includes specialised test fixtures and software that have
been specifically developed to comply with the relevant international
standards. These include systems for tensile, compression, shear, tear,
indentation hardness etc.

Rojac expand thier integral skin and
rigid PU foam moulding facility
Rojac
have recently acquired two additional low pressure PU foam machines
expanding their integral skin and rigid PU foam moulding
facility.

Customers
for the integral skin PU mouldings include aerospace component
manufacturers for which Rojac mould a variety of flame retardent cabin
seating components including armrests for aircraft refurbishment.
Rigid PU foam parts moulded by Rojac include headrest armatures for
Bentley and rigid foam cores for strengthening GRP mouldings.

Tesla - Electric sports car
Rojac Urethane Limited have recently been awarded the
production seat moulding business for the Tesla electric sports car.

With 0-60 Mph in 3.6 second, zero
emissions and a 244 mile range before it needs recharging the Tesla
Roadster is a revolutionary vehicle that is sure to set the standard
for electric all sports cars in the future.
The new Tesla seat moulding
business has helped Rojac Urethane to continue to expand into the low
volume and niche PU foam moulding markets. Rojac also supply
production PU foam mouldings to Jaguar and Bentley and develop new
seating systems supplying prototype moulded seat foams to Tier one
seating suppliers and the major OEMs.
Alongside flexible PU foam seating
Rojac also mould integral skin PU foam components typically used for
grab handles and stadium seating and rigid PU foam used for a wide
variety of applications including structural components and fillers for
large panels. Rojac Urethane have doubled their workforce in the past
12 months and now have a number of production carousels working shifts
moulding PU foam components.

New - Rapid
tooling!
As a cost effective alternative to milled foam samples we specialise in
low cost rapid foam tooling manufactured directly from CAD data.
This process is often
used in the place of milled foam parts for development and prototypes,
the advantage against milled samples includes the fact that the mould
tool can produce multiple parts, can be easily modified and that
mouldings can be produced to the correct hardness including (if
required) inserts.
With rapid foam tools we
can typically go from CAD model to part in a few days and the cost is
comparable to your first off milled part.
The tool can then produce
further parts and can be easily modified if required.
