Rojac Expansion

Rojac Urethane Limited has experienced substantial growth over the past few years, this along with continual investment in new machinery and processes has lead to expansion in our PU foam moulding business which we now operate with 28 employees working 3 shifts 24 hours a day.
 
To enable us to continue with this expansion Rojac have recently doubled in size taking over the whole factory workshop at its premises in Wednesbury, West Midlands now giving us over 18,000 sq ft factory and office space.


This new expansion has given us the opportunity us to re-organise our factory layout, improving work flow and helping us to continue to work towards the Automotive TS 16949 Quality Management System.
 
Already certified to ISO 9001 by BSI Quality Assurance this gives our automotive customers the confidence we are working towards the industry standard quality systems for our production manufacturing processes.
 

The new expanded facility will now include dedicated prototyping facilities to support our rapid foam moulding along with multiple manufacturing moulding cells for each of our PU processes including flexible MDI cold cure PU moulding, CMHR flexible foam moulding, integral skin PU moulding and rigid PU moulding.

Jaguar XJ Ultimate

Rojac Urethane Limited have recently been awarded the production seat moulding business for the Jaguar XJ Ultimate.

The rear seats of the Jaguar XJ Ultimate are separated by a well-equipped centre console. The interiors are handcrafted and include features like fully adjustable rear seats, motorised folding table, chilled champagne bucket, iPad with keyboards mounted to front seats, 20-speaker music system and LED lighting.

BSI ISO 9001:2008 Accreditation


Rojac Urethane are pleased to announce their recent accreditation to ISO 9001:2008 by BSI Quality Assurance

Rojac Urethane specialise in moulding PU foam components for a wide variety of market sectors including Automotive seating, headrests, armrests and sound insulation.  

Accreditation to ISO 9001 gives our customers the reassurance that we are working to internationally recognised quality standards.

Rojac to exhibit at Made in the Midlands Exhibition

The Made in the Midlands Exhibition 2012 has been announced for Tuesday 24th April at Banks’  Stadium,  Walsall,  M6 J9 at 9am.  This event will pull together the best firms in the region to showcase manufacturing and engineering talent,  right the way through the supply chain.

Made in the Midlands currently represents 250 leading SME manufacturers and engineers in the region,  each firm represented at boardroom level.  This accounts for £1.76bn of regional turnover and many firms within the collective in 2011 have had the best year in their trading histories.

Range Rover Autobiography Ultimate 

Rojac Urethane Limited have recently been awarded the production seat moulding business for the new Range Rover Autobiography.

The Ultimate will be limited to just 500 vehicles worldwide, and will be produced to individual order only.



Range Rover designers have completely revamped the rear cabin, fitting individual back seats, along with changes to the font seat designs.

New hardness test facility

Due to be installed early June 2011, Rojac's new foam hardness test machine gives the ability to accurately measure the hardness of PU foam mouldings and provide detailed reports and graphical analysis of this data.  The machine has the ability to measure both Force and Extension and will be installed in our new temperature controlled inspection area.

The new hardness test machine is designed to test both rigid and flexible foam materials. It includes specialised test fixtures and software that have been specifically developed to comply with the relevant international standards. These include systems for tensile, compression, shear, tear, indentation hardness etc.

Rojac expand thier integral skin and rigid PU foam moulding facility

Rojac have recently acquired two additional low pressure PU foam machines expanding their integral skin and rigid PU foam moulding facility.

Customers for the integral skin PU mouldings include aerospace component manufacturers for which Rojac mould a variety of flame retardent cabin seating components including armrests for aircraft refurbishment.  Rigid PU foam parts moulded by Rojac include headrest armatures for Bentley and rigid foam cores for strengthening GRP mouldings.

Rojac Urethane Limited have recently been awarded the production seat moulding business for the Tesla electric sports car.

With 0-60 Mph in 3.6 second, zero emissions and a 244 mile range before it needs recharging the Tesla Roadster is a revolutionary vehicle that is sure to set the standard for electric all sports cars in the future.

The new Tesla seat moulding business has helped Rojac Urethane to continue to expand into the low volume and niche PU foam moulding markets.  Rojac also supply production PU foam mouldings to Jaguar and Bentley and develop new seating systems supplying prototype moulded seat foams to Tier one seating suppliers and the major OEMs.

Alongside flexible PU foam seating Rojac also mould integral skin PU foam components typically used for grab handles and stadium seating and rigid PU foam used for a wide variety of applications including structural components and fillers for large panels. Rojac Urethane have doubled their workforce in the past 12 months and now have a number of production carousels working shifts moulding PU foam components.

New - Rapid tooling!

As a cost effective alternative to milled foam samples we specialise in low cost rapid foam tooling manufactured directly from CAD data.

This process is often used in the place of milled foam parts for development and prototypes, the advantage against milled samples includes the fact that the mould tool can produce multiple parts, can be easily modified and that mouldings can be produced to the correct hardness including (if required) inserts.

With rapid foam tools we can typically go from CAD model to part in a few days and the cost is comparable to your first off milled part. 

The tool can then produce further parts and can be easily modified if required.
